Frequently Asked Questions
We are located in Spencer, Tennessee just a few miles from the entrance to Fall Creek Falls State Park. Our address is 1249 Gulf Road Spencer, Tennessee 38585.
Our ticketed events are non-refundable; however, for days that LGaW deems a “wash-out” (heavy and/or nonstop storms), a “raincheck” will be granted to you for a future visit. Rain checks are offered at the discretion of LGaW (not by request) and will be sent to the email address submitted at the time of registration.
Because lavender blooms during the summer, and because it is outdoors, it gets hot and sunny (just like lavender likes it) so we suggest you bring a wide-brimmed hat, sunglasses if you want, gloves to protect your hands from the cutting instruments, walkable shoes, sunscreen and weather-appropriate clothing. Because the bees naturally love lavender like we do, some people prefer long sleeves even in warmer weather. If you wish to take your bundles home in a container, you may bring your own jar or vase. New, beautiful vases and containers are available for purchase at our onsite gift shoppe. Lavender Gardens provides cutting instruments.
Bottled water is available. Snacks are available for purchase during certain times of the events.
As much as we are love dogs ourselves, we want to respect those who are not comfortable. Our goal is to allow this place to be enjoyed by all and not worry about our canine friends and their interactions with other dogs, their need to use the bathroom and the heat of extended time. So, unfortunately, no, we ask that you not bring pets to the property.
Please refer to our registration page for arrival times. Each event is designed to maximize your time with the lavender and allow some free moments to encourage visitors to sit, breathe, walk, shop and be rejuvenated however seems fitting or needed. Your time with the lavender should not feel rushed or too structured.
Yes! Everyone who purchases a ticket to our events will be allowed to cut some fresh lavender to take with them. Lavender is easily dried and can be enjoyed for months!

The bees love lavender just as much as we do! Their time with lavender encourages their livelihood which also has many benefits for them, for us and our environment. The bees that are attracted to the lavender generally do not want to sting people but they can hide themselves deep within a blooming plant. It is suggested that the plant be ‘brushed over” before harvesting so the bees can find another plant to enjoy while you cut your blooms. You can purchase beekeeper gloves online as well.
If you are severely allergic, you should be aware that the bees will be present throughout the lavender field.
Persons who purchase tickets for events and U-Picks are welcome to take pictures. Professional photographers are asked to reserve a block of time through our Artist Access Days on the website (link). Lavender gardens will set aside specific times and days for photography sessions.
The Lavender Gardens at Woodhaven property offers a span of 14 acres with a venue onsite for restroom and shade.
(** please note that the venue is currently under construction so air conditioned/indoor locations are not available at this time). Sit in our rockers and enjoy the quiet breeze and view of the garden. Bring a journal or purchase one at the onsite Lavender Gardens Shoppe and take a few moments to soak in the day and journal some healing thoughts to remember! A meditation walk around the property is being incorporated into Phase Two of the venue.
To expand your experience, we are minutes from Tennessee’s largest and most-visited State Park, Fall Creek Falls.
